Productions is a collaboration between two dudes, Joe
and Steve to make comic short movies on digital video
in the hopes of one day, making real movies for a living.
With the help of our friends, namely Darren, Machine,
Mike, Dan, John, Tom and Robbie. The list of people
joining us is only growing. We figured, "Why make an
Artsy-Fartsy Movie that people will laugh at? Let's make
one that we can laugh at too!" These movies on the site
are for promotional purposes, to show real movie
people, we can do a lot with a little. So have a good
time, and sign the guestbook!

Sent from an alien planet to make ... well
actually it goes like this-
A graduate of the New York Film Academy,
Joe Brady went on to work as a PA on a few
independent films in NYC, ending with a
stint as Camera Loader. But making it in
the film industry was not to be! Joe found
that beauracracy was rampant and creativity
stifled in the "snobby" world of NY-area
independent films, so he did what any red
blooded American would, when faced with
the possiblility of not reaching his goals - he
started videotaping/editing Weddings and
Bar Mitzvahs! As well as making ends meet
(sometimes) Joe gained access to digital
video equipment and editing programs.
Compelled to make their own movie, Joe
enlisted his friend Steve DeLaFuente and
over the course of July 4th 2002, they made
"Mice Will Play". Thus Empty Wallet
Productions was born.

Born of wolves and raised on a
steady diet of Halloween-style horror
movies and Die Hard-style action
movies, Steve took acting classes at
NYU for a number of years. In
addition, Steve was taught and was
part of a night of one-acts at the
Atlantic Theater Group in NYC.
Presently managing a car wash in
upstate New York, Steve is fueled by
the bitter taste of his broken dreams
and shattered hopes which is his
main motivation for producing,
writing and starring in so many
Empty Wallet Production
masterpieces. Considered by many
to be a "young Brad Pitt" Steve is
biding his time until he rules all of
Hollywood with an iron fist.
After escaping from a lunatic
asylum, Darren spent the
majority of his youth dancing on
MTV's "The Grind" where he
honed his skills in front of the
camera by making faces on air
when they went to commercial.
A grisled veteran of the dating
show ELIMIDATE, where he was
kicked off first out of five, Darren
turned to acting as his calling.
As well as being a renowned DJ
in his own mind, Darren is quite
skilled at turning a 2 hour shoot
into a 2 day shoot, as well as
mesmerizing the ladies with his
first lines in a movie, "What the
f**k?" in WEREMIKE. In
PATULA, Darren owned the role
of the spaced out "special"
agent O.D. McCrack. We can't
wait to see what he does in
DATING GAMES!
